Ever get stuck in traffic but nothing seemed to be causing it?
It's on a loop. I recognise the one car.
Caused by people driving too close and braking the whole time. Muppets.
It's a density wave. It's what causes the arms in spiral galaxies - stars/cars moving into the wave faster than they are exiting.
And it's all because of those variable speed limit signs leading up to the Brynglas tunnel.
People who drive too close should be dragged out of their cars at the next traffic jam and beaten into bloody pulps on the side of the road. Birds are terrible for this. And young lads.
It’s the old concertina effect
A Tina Turner concert.
I would also adopt this punishment for people in the left lane at traffic lights that drive as close as possible in a two lane merge to prevent people in the right lane from merging, as if finding themselves in the left lane gives them some kind of moral superiority.
The ones on Cardiff Road either side of Western Avenue are a constant ball ache for this idiotic and childish behaviour.
And BMW driving cunts
And tradesmen (purportedly) in vans.
Two main things that cause traffic jams on motorways.
Middle lane hoggers (these twats essentially make the motorway a two lane road)
People braking because they don't keep a safe distance.
Number of times I overtake a middle lane hogger that is doing 60 because he/she is too scared to overtake, then to see the same prick race past at 85 when the lane is clear is maddening.
