i can see where your coming from fella but the way i look at it all opposition parties have had three years to come up with their own resolutions to the problem but have produced nothing and I understand the fact that people believe it should purely down to the government to sort out but we went beyond that months ago and every MP has a duty to this country to put everything into resolving the situation instead of putting their personal opinions above their constituents. Whilst there is a majority of remain MPS within the house i dont believe there will be any resolution no matter how many extensions

The only thing with that though Charlie is that it makes Labour and in particular Corbyn look weak. he was bringing votes of no confidence to the house and made 10 demands for a general election within the last 6 months yet when he gets the chance he abstains and that was two days after the latest call for an election. He has sat on the fence for so long without actually coming out and stating the labour parties stance going forward to an election that a large portion of the general public have seen through him. at the moment a vote for the tories at an election is a vote to leave with their stance on deal or no deal debatable. the lib dems have nailed their colours to the mast which is to remain and revoke article 50 which is gutsy considering the implications on turning over a democratic vote from 3 years previous. Plaid will be remain i assume although generally wales voted to leave in 2016. the widow twanky up north wants to remain plus independance so we know where she is. Where does that leave labour. their leader is a serial leaver who is now talking about possible second referendums with a possibility of remain on the ballot paper which will cost him dearly as the majority of his constituencys voted leave. The state that this country and government is in at the moment and yet he is still 14 points behind boris in opinion polls. If labour party members cant see that they need a new leader with fresh ideas then they deserve everything thats coming to them in the next election

I might be wrong, but I think if Corbyn and the opposition had voted for a GE under the fixed term act, Boris would have complete leeway to set the date without input from anyone else.

Why would the opposition do that?

How can the other parties try to resolve things?

They aren’t invited to negotiations with the EU
They aren’t invited to meetings either the government

If they aren’t being told the exact ins and outs of the negotiations, how can you expect them to resolve matters? It just makes no sense

This is why...I don't understand why people don't get it. Boris would have set the date Nov 1st. We would have left with no deal. He's all but said it in every soundbite.

Leaving 31st come what may..Dead in a ditch etc etc.

.None of the opposing parties trust him on the date. It's as simple as that. I fear too many here believe what the papers say..It's beyond me why they can't see it. Really is.

There will be an election and the UK will still be in Europe when the election takes place.. That's what it's all been about the new law. It seems fair enough to me.

I don't see the fuss myself..

But sensibly none of the opposition parties believe a word that comes from blojobs lips.
Why should they agree to his terms?
Corbyn would look a lot weaker if he just rolled onto his back for a tummy rub and went along with a serial liar's preferred choice of date.

    Sadly....

In British politics, impeachment was a method by which Parliament could try individuals for high treason or other misdemeanours.[1]Impeachment was first used in 1376 and last used in 1806. Impeachment is now considered obsolete. A House of Commons 2016 briefing note states that the procedure has not been adapted to meet modern standards of democracy and procedural fairnes

I despair me The countrys so split over this. David Cameron is a fucking cunt. Things were ok as they were. Austerity made it seem like Britain was getting worse like a change was needed.

It amuses me when I see people say Boris has no credibility because he's a liar.
There are 649 others in the Commons who I automatically assume are lying every time they open their mouth. The place is full to the brim with low grade charlatans, many of whom don't appear too bright. Politics is at its lowest ever ebb. :nqat:
    Feel better after that!

Now the DUP aren't needed any more it would be funny if they got chucked under the bus and were tied into the EU to get a deal. Backwards fuckers refuse to adopt our laws but want treating the same as the rest of the UK They'd rather die but there'd be fuck all they could do now. Ho ho ho. Like getting into bed with a Tory and being surprised your arse hurts in the morning. Id love that me seeing them get done over.

Yeah they all lie to an extent but Johnson has been sacked from 2 newspapers for lying in his columns.
I imagine its really fucking hard to be sacked by a British tabloid for lying, seeing that's all they do.
