Bury v MK Dons called off by EFL but Wycombe v Bolton to go ahead - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49156362
Its scandalous how much money the top boys are earning, the best thing about the English system is the pyramid it has but I’ll be surprised if we’ll still have most of the lower league teams in about 20 years time all the while the top 4/6 clubs are making billions
Sad to see Bury going to the wall. Never forget our game up there in 1976, the night we won promotion under Jimmy Andrews.
In all fairness I respect supporters of teams Like Bury, Walsall etc. Would be much easier to "support" a bigger team around that area. By God there's enough plastics around here. The media only seem to care about the big six or seven. I have more respect for a kid from Swansea supporting Swansea than a kid from Cardiff supporting Man U!
Sorry but that’s a load of shite. The big boys earn the TV money and it’s not their fault Bury have spent beyond their means.
So they can’t give some of that back to the lower league clubs? I personally think the FA should be doing a lot more at grass roots level as well as lower leagues, they may as well just say feck it and have that stupid European league and rake in all the money for the stupid cunts who are happy to support a team and pole shot loads in to the club they only watch on telly
With you on this. Premier League players earning more money than a lower league club is completely illogical and unsustainable. I don’t know if there are caveats to Sky money into the game, but it has to be brought in that it’s distributed to help grass roots etc
So the FA don’t pump any money into grass roots? Behave. Here’s a logical thought. Spend within your means. I seen some twats on CCMB having a pop at Bale for not taking a pay cut when Bury are going to the wall?!?!?
