If not, how come?
I give all sorts of bodily fluids to all sorts of worthy causes.
It's full of intoxicants. Useless to any body but me.
I used to, done it about 15 times but I had a funny turn last time so am too nervous to go again.
I should do really, my wife needed 4 pints after our daughter was born.
My dad needed a few pints when I was born - so far about 38 years worth.
My mam seemed to do it quite a bit over the years but she hasn’t in a good year or so don’t know why though
I used to regularly.
Then went on a few holidays to places with exotic diseases - Lassa and Black Water Fever were my favourites - and I wasn't allowed to donate for a few years.
Result was I fell out of the habit and just stopped.
I really should start again. Thanks Colonel - for the prompt!
No problem, I think I might need some of the good stuff from folks like yourself once the doctors finally discover that my blood is 95% barbecue sauce.
No. Health reasons.
Wish I could.
No, I really should as I'm O-negative and they need that the most, it's not something I'm reminded of unless someone mentions it like you have now.
Blimey, how many O-Neg hoarders do we have on this forum?
Fill up a Tesco bag ASAP (be sure to sellotape the holes in the bottom first) and when full just sling it through the door of your local A&E.
Are you a neg too?
I am, And sorry to say never donated. This is something I need to address.
Well I've just booked myself in while it's in my head do it now before you forget
I did for years when I was office based, as it was an excuse for half an hour away from the desk, with a cup of tea and a biscuit thrown in.
I don't know whether there is an age limit in place, but I may be disallowed anyway on grounds of medication these days .
Just checked and the medication thing would be fine, as is age as I am a registered donor already.
I don't. If they paid I might.
I'm sure that's not a serious comment, but it does give rise to a valid question.
As in the USA, that would lead to every addict and his wife trying to sell their blood. The cost of the screening process would be horrendous.
