How hot do you like a curry?

    I like a madras, a pathia or a jalfrezi from the Indian. Had a madras last night from Gateway of India.

    The firecracker chicken from wagamama is mental hot but also very tasty.

    A som tam would be nothing without the firey chilli - you need the heat to balance the sweet & sour.

    I had a great Malaysian dish in St Ives a few years ago, I don’t think I’ve ever had a hotter curry but it was so full of flavour I had to finish every bit. There’s a photo of me eating it and I’m a mess of sweat & my eyes are glazed.

    I created something of a biohazard incident in the Barbara Hepworth sculpture garden toilet the next day.

    I like mine pan roasted with a pretentious jus.
    I had a vindaloo on rugby tour once. It was bad going down but on exit it felt like my sphincter was on fire. Never again! The hottest I get these days is a massala.

    i prefer a tarka masala, its like a chicken masala, but otter

    seriously, give me phaal or give me death. there is nothing better than having a sweaty headache as you eat your food, it makes drinking lager a bloody obvious choice.

    Yeah, Big fan of the Firecracker Chicken. Ive probably been to a Wagamama about 5 times in my life, and I took a punt on Firecracker Chicken the first time, and then every time since. Love it. You can have it hotter than 'standard' But it is a bastard in the morning, so . No :yikes:

    I like the heat to be vindaloo level but not a fan of the taste of that dish. So I get a madras or jalfrezi and get them to crank the heat up on those.

    I don’t mind a bit of spice but all this sweating while eating a phall and pretending you’re enjoying it to impress your mates is just bravado bollocks.

    When I’m eating out I love a nice tasty curry like a pathia, dupiaza or saag.

    But my current favourite and one I make at home is an Aloo Gobi with extra Paneer.

    Paneer cheese? Where do you get that from? I made some once. It was really crumbly but amazing crumbled over the top of a Medium spicy home made dupiaza style curry.

    I've only had it once but I couldn't really work out if I liked it or not :hehe:the curry was too hot for me though, I should try it in something else.

    You don't say adz. I just thought I'd make some cheddar cheese. Leave it in a dark room in my house for 6 months then put it on a curry one day. I know what it is.

    You can probably get it in any supermarket I would imagine.
    I use the Shoprite down the bottom of City rd for all my ingredients.
