City have opted out of the EFL live video coverage for next season. Quite a few Championship clubs had already done so and the reason I have seen quoted is that (pirate) viewing of the official streams of Saturday games could be affecting attendances.

Up until now, EFL Saturday live streams were made available to those supporters not resident in the UK or Ireland. Last season, midweek EFL matches were available to everyone on a pay per view basis. As City were in the PL, that didn't affect us anyway, but we should have been rejoining the EFL platform next season.

An announcement is to be made in due course on what the club will be offering for 2019 /2020, but it looks like a blow for those of us in exile.

Aw that's a shame. Looks like you and me won't be seeing much football next season then. Shame, I was looking forward to the Championship.
