Cauliflower cheese as a side with a roast is excellent, as you say. Red cabbage can be a bit of a dominant taste for me.
Bake the broccoli. Shove them into a tray. Drizzle a little oil over it and into the oven. Lovely
Oops..Sounds like Steve's on the Shit List
But it is unhealthy so may as well have chips imo
We just have Cauli and Broccoli Cheese bake sometimes. Other times I will put thick cut smoked bacon lardons in. Easy, quick and satisfying. More of a winter thing really but it doesn't leave you wondering. You could add some cooked macaroni if you've got a 6ft 2 son that has just landed from the gym and is hanging off the fridge door.
he looks very unhealthy. I bet he's got a cold to the stupid veggie.
All good ideas. I think it mostly depends if you're going with gravy or not @Colonel Cardiffi
You give him ONE thing to do and he’s watching pointless while it boils dry!!!
The Colonel's missed all these wonderful ideas Joe...he's probably taken Steve R's advice and naffed off up the Five Star Grease Bar on Station Road!!
I reckon he left them boiling on the Engine Block. That would explain leaving the car running..
Tempura, with a sweet chilli dip
I know what you mean. My favourite sandwich is cheddar and strawberry jam. Some people have said thats stupid but i like it. Ive seen the French eating small pots of fruit compote with cheese as well
green giant gone to the dogs
Aye, Jam with cheese = lovely.
Cheese and marmalade very nice too.
I used to love a sausage and marmalade sandwich .
But, aye veg.
For a quicke I like to chop up a thumb sized load of fresh ginger,
Chop up the veg (broccoli good) into 'wok-able' proportions, and get a real hot wok - need not have much oil, wok it fast, quick 'n' very, very hot, chucking in the ginger for just the last minute or so.
But they also eat frogs legs and snails ffs! dirty bastards...
Oh Yeah. Great taste. I'd have that sandwich toasted as well me. Crispy bread, Oozy cheese and sweet fruit. Hell yes.
Wow, not heard of those bags before, is that legit, you can stick the veg in with it?
I did actually go with gravy in the end, still haven't read the rest of the thread yet though so hoping for some more good ideas.
I'd like the sound of that but I doubt the nipper would be interested in it
