Actually, no. It was on Radyr Road. If you look at Google Maps you can see its original route across the river onto Radyr Court Road which is now blocked off to vehicles, and which goes under the railway line there.
The bridge over the canal must have been at the end of Radyr Road roughly just beyond the rugby club where there are/used to be only 2 or 3 houses on the right just before the park (where the canal ran behind Hazelhurst rd) ?
From what you've said I guess the route across the river came out at the bottom of Dog Hill on old Radyr Court Rd (pre- Danescourt etc), right on the bend where the old railway bridge is/was and then continued up past the church to Llantrisant Rd.
The site of the 8 storey office block and the new bus station
Wonder where all the homeless people are?
That 8 story bus station building also has a 22 story tower at Wood street end which I believe at about 275ft may become the tallest building in Cardiff.
They're still there in the doorways.
View over Roath. I like pictures of Cardiff taken from the north showing the channel in the background.
Greenway Road Park, this morning, just across the road from me. I never took this photo. With the dragons breath on the fields
