Hidden beach my arse, that’s the foreshore. Surely everyone knows the foreshore don’t they?
I’ve always thought what a great idea it would be to move the industrial site there up the coast a bit to Wentloog area and develop it.
I’m not talking a beach like they mention, I wouldn't have thought that was possible with the power of tide along there anyway, but just a year round coastal leisure area for dog walking, cycling, fishing etc
You know tidy it up, nice paths, picnic benches, play parks, couple of cafes etc. There would be loads of room for parking too.
St Johns church with its recently cleaned front 11th June
remember when they had scaffolding up on that church about 38 years ago and a suicidal bloke climbed it late one Friday night to throw himself off, a crowd gathered, police held them back and some lads were singing that "jump, you fucker jump" ditty. Didn't stick around so I don't know if he did or not.
Not much point turning it into a tourist beach given its next to a sewage treatment plant. Some nice views if you make the effort though
Reminds me of a night we'd been in town, probably around 38 years ago too! Pissed up and they had scaffold outside Courts furnishing on St Mary Street. Up we went, through an open window on the top floor which turned out to be a stock room. My mate had just bought his first house and wanted furniture! Bit of searching for a 3 piece suite he fancied, moved evrything out of the way and left it ready by the window for picking up the next night. Like that was ever going to work!
Getting ready for Monday
All a bit weird init.
I wonder if people will take it seriously or if the whole idea of keeping distance goes out the window within a week.
Saturday evening, not my photo’s
Castle st closed yesterday, anybody know what the circles are for?
View from Penarth this afternoon
I’d imagine the circles are for social distancing, step out of the circle and a member of the Welsh guards will shoot you from the clock tower
