Demolition of the bulldog pub/Fairwater rugby club has started.
The castle wall must've been a lot lower then.

Don't think so, just the perspective.
I was trying to get a "Then and Now" pic of it but could not get it to match up at all, with any part of the modern castle wall.
Somewhere in this thread is a photo taken from the inside looking towards that gate and the layout makes more sense from that angle.
