If the South Wales Traffic planners were half-pissed every Friday afternoon, that would explain a lot and certainly confirm my suspicions
..I saved those as we used Horimans and my Nan and my other Nan used Brooke Bond tea so I saved them as well..
Can anyone remember saving those American civil war cards with the chewing gum in the sixties it had fake dollar bills and some of the pictures were gruesome
Now you are talking. I actually bought a full album from eBay of the Brooke Bond cards a couple of years ago, as my original set got thrown out.
Hmm ..^^ Now makes no sense since 'someone' - cough - decided to entirely edit out the post which I directly responded to
All my card albums were thrown out along with most of my stuff when I got married..we only hard a two room flat and these was no room for anything so I left it all in my nans house...thanks Nan
I thought so. In my defence, I would point out that this is a thread populated by senile old crusties and if you can't make the appropriate allowances ..... I forget what I was going to say ...... PS you should have quoted my double mare and preserved it for eternity
Not a very good picture but the Taff Vale is on the end of the street I was a member of the Comrades when they moved to City rd
It should be on those old insurance maps I posted a while back. I think that's the Pearl building in the background, which looked so out of place when it was built.
