Read something recently about a proposal to open up Churchill Way again as a waterside feature.
It was on WOL. Rappaports who own the properties next to the Masonic hall in Guildford crescent proposed it to the council as part of their charm offensive to redevelop these properties.
To be honest I’ve been saying for ages Churchill way should be closed as a Road and the dock feeder uncovered to create a “Little Venice” type of facility. The road is fairly useless and that end of town is in terminal decline. I think it would totally revitalise it.
I saw an article about that, nice idea if it ever comes about. Just had a quick google cant find anything
Send all the buses back through Boulevard de Nantes and Dumfries Place

Dont forget Wimpy...
Bridge Road was on the route for my longest weekly dog walk when I lived in Fairwater - I always thought it hadn't changed much, apart from the BBC building, for a century or more.
So much has changed since then the modern map is almost unrecognisable. It took me a while to orient myself on the modern map. If it weren't for the railway line I wouldn't have known it was the same city.
John Hall Tools....good shout Trav, forgotten about that place
We need one ASAP and for Cardiff buses too
Still have my £50 tool voucher to spend there from college. every time i went it was closed.
Sometimes when i see some of the miserable bleeders that drive the buses i feel they should be banned from the roads. one of them side swiped my mates car and another the other week on cowbridge road at vic park. And they were parked in the bays! the bus driver didn't stop or report it in. How can you hit 2 static cars on a major straight road when you have a superior driver's licence??
You wouldnt get much for £50 these days mate..nothing that would last anyway (tools were made in Britain back then!)
Central Station in 1967.
Some nice old motors in that photo
Is that offering 55p return tickets to London?
