For being a con yes man should never of been appointed if we had to go cheap we should've got someone who was young and upcoming and with a bit of experience not a lower league journeyman.
Yeah I remember all the Norwegian signings were under the same agent Daehli looked the most promising player out of all his signings.
Or experienced instead of lucky. Lower league clubs cant afford to pay off managers as easy if they don't work. There's a shit load of crap foreign managers out there as well. Especially who Hereford can attract. At least at that level Slade won't have unrealistic ideas and will probably do a good if not the most exciting job. A bit of continuity. Some clubs need that.
Hereford is just about right for him but in the higher levels in the pyramid hes totally out of his depth.
He had no experience at championship level and was failing in league 1 with Bristol Rovers the whole head coach idea and director of football which was going to be Slade!!was the right idea but as always with our incompetent board had the wrong people for the roles and totally scrapped it completely when Warnock came in our clubs got no philosophy whatsoever it's from one extreme to another.
I agree. Still all clubs in the pyramid need a manager. Clubs at that level could do worse. Look at Dave Jones at Hartlepool.. Shrewsbury and Ratcliffe getting relegated from the league as a story about appointing a player who had a good career. Slade has his place. It's roughly where he is.
As long as we pay our debts and evolve as a secure club I can accept mistakes along the way. Slade had a job to do which he did with the minimum of fuss.
Imagine if he did. Would be funny. The joke would be over when Tan brought him back next year though.
Christ! Slade would bang on until end of time about his non league promotion and would make out like it's the equivalent of winning the champions league and how hes earned the right to be here.
That's the thing with our lack of football knowledge at board level mistakes are always going to happen they Choo and Dalman need a proper education on how football clubs run on today basis not financially but on the playing side.
Warnock was the most sensible decision at the time when in the bottom 3 of the championship and the unexpected promotion was great but Warnock is a short term manager and hes passed his sell by date now football has moved on at an alarming rate that Pulis and Big Sam cant get Jobs.
The style of play NW adopts can still be very effective if not pretty when played well. Just because things aren't going well at the moment doesn't mean he has suddenly become a bad manager.
