Social Dilemma thread

Well, given that my mind was racing and I was caught completely on the hoof, and it all seemed very genuine, I thought about telling her to put a £10'er in and I'd pay it using my card at the till.

Then I had a weird thought that it might be a scam, so I thought some more. In the end, I looked in my phone wallet as I never usually have any cash on me, but this time I had a blydi tenner which I gave to her, mostly thinking I'd just like my brain confusion to go away now.

I waited a while, then left the services which go past the pumps and sure enough, I saw her there putting fuel in.

Loads of things come to mind in hindsight, like did I do the right thing, was I mugged off, should I have pulled up and saw if she only put a £10'er in, but fair play.

If that was a scam, then it was a high risk, low reward, load of shit to go to.

If it wasn't, then I've helped out a lady with kids in genuine need.

I asked Mrs Arfur earlier and she said it could even have been a battered wife situation who was making a break for it with her kids.

Interesting, all the same and we all live on.

 

I did and it was on empty and showing the empty light. She even pointed it out to me, during her initial chat.
