As an avid, albeit morbid 'fan' of the Chernobyl story, and having just seen the miniseries, I've been hoovering up anything to do with it and stumbled across this incredible documentary by BBC Horizon from 1991, with an addendum from 1996.
If you think the initial Firefighters were brave, or the' bio-robots' who cleared the roof of fiercely radioactive graphite and nuclear fuel rods, then check out what this group of physicists did.
This is clearly a recording off a VHS (and I can only find it on Dailymotion), so it's a bit crackly at first but it does improve.
