So this thread is about slightly unseasonal weather?
You wont be laughing when we have 2cms of snow and the only bread left in the shop is a small seeded loaf.
Which has happened since the dawn of time
I quite like a seeded loaf
So you acknowledge that time is a recent construct that did not previously exist?
See this is the thing.
Older residents on here (yourself included) may well remember the winter of '63. According to my old man the temperature stayed below zero for three months and your piss would freeze before it hit the floor.
All this before they started charging people 5p for a bag too (which has slowly crept up to 15p in asda and 20p in Morrisons).
Of course climate change is happening to a certain extent but a lot of it is just guesswork, scaremongering and profiteering)
Funny how these things always end up with us paying more for stuff.
Funnier still how electric cars are being rolled out at a snails pace despite the fact that petrol and diesel cars are the main pollutants for the vast majority of people, and getting rid of petrol and diesel would do far more than bags for life and paper straws ever could.
Compared to tofu, a seeded loaf is a little treat.
I was born during that blizzard.
I wasn't born until 69 but I remember my Granddad telling me how they walked on the Thames when it was frozen over
Gotta laugh at all the supermarkets saying they are trying to do their bit by selling loose and wonky veg and stuff, that's what all the fruit and veg shops did before they put them all out of business
So global warning is bollox
Stick that in your pipe ADZ
Did your parents check your head for numbers?
You will no longer have his respect, wtf will you do now?
STFU and sit down he makes a good point though.
Firstly, that woman asking the question is an idiot.
Women asking questions from the audience always make it about themselves, you see it on Question Time, they're always throwing in stuff like "as a woman" or "I have x many children in school" or "as a female muslim" etc... just ask the fucking question and sit down woman, you're doing nobody any favours.
Secondly, I'd trust what the scientists tell us over a guy who made his half a billion fortune in oil any day of the week, regardless of his second hand stories about Antarctic ice cores. The guy tells you all you need to know about him when he said he "wished he'd thought of the scam first".
As for his point about banks still loaning people money for beachfront properties, a bank couldn't give a flying fuck if your house gets flooded, you still owe them the money.
A bit daft to assume banks are suddenly going to get fiscally responsible anyway, they're already back to selling subprime bundle bonds after the 2008 crash, the cunts.
Good points too
