    4th vote defeated by 16 .

Defeat for corbyn to allow parliament to come up with an alternative solution for brexit.

At the end of the day Parliament has realised that it needs to get this sorted and stop trying to score political points. We may see a general election as a result of all this and a total re positioning of the main parties. It may be better for all in the long term, but we will be committed to coalitions governments pretty much forever.

Even if Parliament did vote to extend, the EU are hardly going to agree to it unless circumstances change dramatically. It’s all heading towards no deal on 29th. The ERG and the Gammon will get their way.

Rejection of the All Party option was the significant moment imo.

Would you be able to explain what's going on for the stupid people on the forum? Not myself of course, I fully understand everything that's gone on obviously but you know, just in case there's people that don't know.

Totally agree Steve. Even I would have had respect for him had he let his party vote for it.
Now he's asking to do it with time running out.

EU have just released a statement confiming what we've already been told.

The only deal available is the one on offer, why corbyn thinks he can get his alternative through is beyond me

Well the current two party system is completely fucked not to mention out of date, so I fully support a Scandinavian style coalition which works for everyone, not just rich or poor or Scum Toff v Liebour

Parliament won’t allow a no deal

The only options as I see it are May’s deal or no Brexit

If they can’t make up their minds put that to the country and make it legally binding. Then they don’t have to keep going through this shit week after week

I see what you're saying and I think we should have a vote to see if we should vote on it. It won't be legally binding, obviously but we can vote on that if you're up for it.

His only interest throughout the whole process nuge is to try and get himself into power as prime minister. He has never come out and publicly stated what his policy is purely because I don’t believe he has a viable alternative. Unfortunately for the country he is one of many self obsessed selfish cunts only thinking about themselves and not the country across all parties in the house

Although I am a life long Conservative voter and supporter of the move to leave Europe, given the complex nature of the subject and taking into account those for and against on both sides of the House, I believe that we should have had an all party group fighting our corner from the off.

There were a number of perfectly competent "Brexiteers" in each party and, at the point that it was clear that we had a PM (outgoing and incoming) who was a Remainer, then that problem should have been fixed.

Going back a couple of years, Alistair Darling stepped up to the plate and demolished Alex Salmond in the final TV debate just before the Scottish independence referendum and many feel that was what won the day. We had a Conservative government, but it was one that recognised that it was an issue that crossed party political divides.

Brexit is exactly the same, but x10. Parliament, as a whole, has let the British democratic process down badly since the EU referendum.

What we need is a good game of celebrity higher or lower against Europe to decide what happens next. It's the only viable way forward as I can see.

Not like you to shoehorn your personal disliking of Alex Salmond into the conversation :hehe:
