Absolute thug of a footballer but watched his documentary with Sky’s Premier League Review and can’t help but admire the guy after he opened up on his battle with mental health and depression. As someone who has had my battles myself, and I know others on here have too, then it’s a recommended watch. Drink was his demon, and although not an alcoholic, all his troubles seemed to stem from him being drunk so he’s packed it in and is winning his battle. He’s about as much of a mans man as you could meet and if he’s willing to open up on it then that can only help others who think they are weak for feeling that way. Don’t suffer in silence people.
