Apologies for the link to the Daily Nazi "Neil Warnock is reportedly in line for a shock return to management at Middlesbrough with Jonathan Woodgate on the brink of being sacked. Warnock left Cardiff by mutual consent on November 11 following a poor run of results but is set to be back in a job sooner than he would have imagined. And according to The Sun, Woodgate is facing the sack following a very disappointing start to the season, which has seen Middlesbrough win just three times in the Championship." Warnock is reportedly waiting in the wings to take over at Boro - who were thrashed 4-0 by Leeds on Saturday afternoon at Elland Road. Warnock stepped down at Cardiff last month after over three years in charge of the Championship outfit. The 71-year-old was appointed in October 2016 with Cardiff second from bottom in the Championship before he guided them to the Premier League in 2018. They’ve got far more quality than the likes of Luton, Barnsley and Wigan but once you’re down the bottom you need players willing to graft and fight. Whatever you think of Colin, if he went there he’d get them grafting and fighting away from the bottom like he did with us.
He's their best shot though..Keep it simple..If I was the chairmen I'd seriously consider giving him a 6 month contract with a nice bonus if he pulls it off...He'd give it his absolute all that much is sure..He's best with a bee in his bonet...Something to prove..He wont confuse the players..They'll buy into it for 6 months..Us and them mentality straight away..
