You only have $15... who are you gonna see?
Piece of piss this. Hendrix, Beatles, Sabbath and the Ramones.
Keep the change.
So many people/bands that didn't make that list that deserved to be on there.
Did get the chance to see Floyd, even if it was post-Waters days, there’s no band on the planet that can put on a complete live show like they did.
Anyway cos having seen Pink Floyd, I'll spunk the lot on Hendrix, Beatles and Led Zep, cos I never got to see them live.
The Who were a major disappointment the times I've I've seen them
You appear to have left the Stones and Nirvana out sir.
you can’t always get what you want
Never understood LZ appeal, they ripped off so many songs its embarrassing anyway Skynyrd original line up would be first on my list
Queen and The Who, that's all from that lot.
I felt a lot of the big bands of the 60's - 70's were "overhyped" and / or electronically enhanced when playing live. Pink Floyd spring to mind as were / are the Rolling Stones.
Saw the original line up of The Who (with Keith Moon) twice in their pomp 1974 and 1975 and I don't think anyone would touch them as a four piece band. I missed Queen in Cardiff in the mid - 70's and never got the chance after then, which is an abiding regret.
It's a pity that Cream aren't on the list.
But I’m only really arsed about Nirvana and RHCP tbh. Probably showing my age
Gotta love these debates. I just want to see Jimmy Page play. The bloke is a magician who can do what 2+ gifted guitarists can only just about manage
*Looks at my dusty strat and just sobs*
Wish I could play
Then go see Pink Floyd again
I like page as guitarist but wouldn’t make my top 10 (purely personal preferences) Clapton much better imo
I like to have a half hours strum a day Wavey
I sound like shit , but the pedal n waa waa stick makes it sound bearable
Should have a favourite guitarist thread.
It would be amazing to see the Stones at the height of their powers but for 30 years they've seemed like old men living on former glories. Hendrix would be amazing but can't afford him in this game. Some of the band's I wouldn't pull the curtains to watch - some weird selections.
I reckon the bands were chosen by Alan from Hemel Hemstead - balding with long hair, donbing a ragged band t shirt and a questionable sleeveless leather jacket. He's an accountant but thinks he's cool as he went to some crazy gigs in the 70s and is part of a motorcycle club [only in the sumjer mind]. Hasn't had a shag for 23 years. Him or Sludge
Think we need to sit down with a few reefers and some tunes and continue this conversation at some point
Sounds like me with the delay pedal
